Thunder Junction All Abilities Park
If you have small children in your vacation group, Thunder Junction All Abilities Park is arguably the best spot in St. George to spend a completely low-stress morning or afternoon. It is a massive, dinosaur-themed park featuring a rubberized ground layout that makes running around safe for toddlers and very easy for strollers.
Park Hours & Info
- Location: 1851 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770
- Admission: Entirely FREE to enter the park.
- Hours: Open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The Miniature Train Rides
The central highlight for kids is a 1/4-scale locomotive that loops around the park’s simulated prehistoric volcanic landscape.
- Cost: Only $1.00 per rider.
- Train Schedule: The train operates Monday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Note: The train is highly sensitive to extreme weather conditions and maintenance breaks, so keep that in mind if you visit on a stormy day.
The Splash Pad & Waterfall
The dinosaur-themed water splash area and pioneer cave dwellings are the perfect way for kids to cool off. The water features and splash pad are seasonal, running heavily throughout the warmer months. On standard operating days, the splash pad runs concurrently with regular park hours.
